About Desi District Concord

Desi District is a modern Indian street food and market concept that blends authentic flavors with urban flair. From chaats and biryanis to fusion desserts and handcrafted drinks, every item celebrates the rich diversity of Indian cuisine. With dine-in and takeout options, it’s a one-stop destination for food lovers.

Desi District Concord is an indian restaurant in Concord, North Carolina. It is listed at 8524 Pit Stop Ct NW, Concord, NC 28027, which places it among the local businesses of Concord that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as modern indian restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. I have been coming to this restaurant for about four months or so, and the food has always been absolutely delicious. Every visit has been a great experience, and I have really enjoyed both the quality and taste of the food. The front desk staff is always so friendly, welcoming. Definitely one of my favorite places to go out in Charlotte. Good stuff..!!!

Absolutely loved this place! The pani puri here tastes exactly like what you’d get on the streets of Hyderabad — authentic, bold, and packed with flavor. The puris were perfectly crispy, the potato-chickpea filling was well-spiced, and the pani had that perfect balance of tangy, spicy, and slightly sweet that’s so hard to find outside India. What really stood out was how welcoming the staff were — felt like family, not just customers. You can tell they take pride in keeping the authentic taste alive. Highly recommend if you’re craving real Hyderabadi street food flavor. Will definitely be back!

My wife and I had gone over to Sweet Frog for some frozen yogurt, and while we were in the area, we decided to stop into this Indian restaurant and market. Through my job, I work with a lot of people from India, including some fantastic offshore team members with TCS, and I also have several Facebook friends from India. My good friend Dipanwita, who lives in Western India, was actually on the phone with me at the time, so I showed her around the restaurant as we walked through. I personally did not get a chance to try much of the food yet, but I would really love to go back and try more eventually. My wife did get the samosa and a couple of other small treats, and she enjoyed them. From my perspective, the restaurant looked fantastic in terms of design and layout. It had two stories, plenty of seating, a lot of room, beautiful cultural music playing in the background, and a very nice, fun vibe inside. I am thankful that you have such a beautiful restaurant and market in our area. It really feels like a wonderful gem, and I look forward to coming back again. Keep up the good work!

I’ve visited Desi District many times, and overall it’s a really nice place to hang out with friends or even enjoy a relaxed meal as a couple. The food is good overall, but what really stands out for me is their chai it’s honestly one of the best around! The appetizers are very tasty, especially the Jalapeño Chicken. The combination of Jalapeño Chicken with Rumali Roti is extremely delicious. As far as I know, this is one of the few places where we can find authentic Rumali Roti, and it tastes so soft and fresh every time. Their pulaos and biryanis are also flavorful and satisfying. The ambiance is another highlight — the wall designs and décor truly give Hyderabad vibes. It really makes you feel connected to home, especially if you’re from Hyderabad. They also offer some great weekday deals: • Monday: Buy 1 Get 1 Pani Puri + free bread with a curry • Tuesday: Appetizer specials (Veg $8.99 / Non-Veg $9.99) • Wednesday: Buy 1 Get 1 Dosa • Thursday: Any chaat item for $4.99 (including snacks) These deals make it even better to visit during the weekdays. The service has been good during my visits, and the overall experience has always been pleasant. If you’re looking for a casual

Try special mutton Pulao, Puri Keema and Mandi. District in Concord is a great place for authentic Indian street food. The taste is close to real desi flavors, and the menu has a good variety of chaat, snacks, and quick bites. The food is fresh and well-prepared, and portions are decent for the price. The place is usually busy, which shows how popular it is, but service is fairly quick. Staff is polite and helpful. Overall, a nice spot if you’re craving Indian street-style food in Concord. 👍 On Feb 01, 2026, I ordered chicken tandoori, earlier 2 months before i tried Chicken tandoori and was outstanding and came with good tandoori masala all around of chickens. However, weather was good and i ordered the same, but they provided me stale food which was likely feel 2 day old food and tasteless and piece was very smaller than i ever had chicken tandoori. Let me share the pic as well. Very disappointing experience with Desi district this time. Never order Chicken Tandoori guys.
